Opening
O God, reach out to help me. O Lord, hasten to assist me. — From Psalm 70
Hymn
Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty! Early in the morning our song shall rise to Thee; Holy, holy, holy! merciful and mighty! God in three Persons, blessed Trinity! Holy, holy, holy! though the darkness hide Thee, Though the eye of sinful man Thy glory may not see, Only Thou art holy; there is none beside Thee Perfect in power, in love, and purity. — Reginald Heber (public domain)
Psalmody
Antiphon
From the first light, teach me to walk in your peace.
Psalm
For I will behold your heavens, the works of your fingers: the moon and the stars, which you have founded. What is man, that you are mindful of him, or the son of man, that you visit him? You reduced him to a little less than the Angels; you have crowned him with glory and honor.

Reading
2 Timothy 2:8a, 11–13 Be mindful that the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the offspring of David, has risen again from the dead, according to my Gospel. It is a faithful saying: that if we have died with him, we will also live with him. If we suffer, we will also reign with him. If we deny him, he will also deny us. If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful: he is not able to deny himself. — 2 Timothy 2:8a, 11–13 · Catholic Public Domain Version (public domain)
Reflection
Before the noise multiplies, name one intention for this day. Offer your work, your waiting, and your relationships to God with a simple yes.
Intercession
For hearts that are tired, bring rest. For hearts that are restless, bring purpose. For hearts that are hard, bring compassion. For the world you love, kindle justice and peace. Lord, hear our prayer.
Closing prayer
Lord Jesus, keep this prayer alive in me through the day. Guard my steps, purify my desires, and teach me to love as you love. Amen.
Silence
If you can, rest in quiet for half a minute before you rise.
